The Jocko River is a 55 km long right tributary of the Ottawa River in the Nipissing District in the east of the Canadian province of Ontario .
The Jocko River has its source 30 km north of the city of North Bay . The river initially flows north. The lakes Brûlé Lake and Jocko Lake are located on the upper reaches . Below Jocko Lake, it flows another 7 km to the north before turning east-southeast. The Jocko River finally flows into the Ottawa River almost 20 km south-southeast of Témiscaming . 6 km above the mouth, the Little Jocko River meets the Jocko River when coming from the south. The Ontario Highway 63 (North Bay – Témiscaming) crosses the river about 15 km above the mouth .
The courses of the Jocko River (below Jocko Lake) and the Little Jocko River are located in the Jocko Rivers Provincial Park , a provincial park with no infrastructure. The Jocko River is a canoeing water. The approximately 500 km² catchment area is located in the area of the Canadian Shield . It consists mainly of boreal coniferous forest and includes many smaller lakes and wetlands.
