Témiscaming , engl. Timiscaming , is a small town on the south bank of Lac Témiscamingue in Québec , Canada's largest province . It belongs to the regional county municipality ( municipalité régionale de comté ) Témiscamingue .
The most important industry is a cellulose factory. Témiscaming was founded in 1917 by Riordan Pulp. The village and factory were purchased by the Canadian International Paper Company in 1925 . In 1973, when the company decided to close the plant, the Tembec company took over the mill.
