Joe Blewitt
Joe Blewitt (actually Charles Edward Blewitt ; born November 1, 1895 in Upton-upon-Severn , Worcestershire , † May 30, 1954 in Birmingham ) was a British long-distance runner and obstacle runner .
At the Olympic Games in 1920 he was fifth over 5000 m . In the team race over 3000 m he came in fifth place and won silver with the British team.
In 1923 he won the Cross of Nations for England . In 1928 he retired at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam over 3000 m obstacle in the prelim.
In 1920, 1923 and 1925 he became English champion over four miles , in 1919 over ten miles and in 1924 over two miles obstacle.
