Joe Dachtler (born July 7, 1963 in Ehingen ) is a German musician and composer of film music .

life and work

Joe Dachtler grew up in Ulm . He started playing the accordion at the age of nine, later adding guitar and keyboard. As a guitarist he played in various local bands, such as B. Eisenhertz, Loyal and the Sommermeyer Band. In some formations he also began to write songs. Between 1987 and 1988 he worked as a professional manager at the music publisher SBK Songs (successor to CBS Songs ) in Frankfurt am Main .

Then he played as a guitarist in the band Fux , which achieved two chart positions for me with an overdose of Glück und Einsam . A first success as a songwriter came with the title song We Belong Together for the ARD television series Not from Bad Parents . He also wrote other songs for this series.

From 2001 he worked as a film composer for the ARD television series Marienhof and contributed the music in around 850 episodes until 2009. He then joined Curt Cress' team as a film composer . In addition to film music, Joe Dachtler also composes and produces freestyle music for dressage riding, etc. a. for Helen Langehanenberg .

Joe Dachtler has lived in Tutzing since 2004 and has four children.
