Joseph John "Joe" Keenan (born October 14, 1982 in Southampton , England ) is a former English football player.

Career

Keenan's career began at the top English club, Chelsea , where he was never able to assert himself due to injuries and other factors. His worst injury, a broken leg, occurred in October 2002 against the Arsenal reserve team . He made his Chelsea debut the same year he came on for John Terry against Aston Villa . In 2003 he moved to the Belgian Jupiler League for KVC Westerlo . Via Brentford FC and Eastbourne Borough in 2005 and 2006 in England and Willem II Tilburg in the Dutch Eredivisie (between 2006 and 2007), he joined the Australian first division club Melbourne Victory in 2007 . Here, too, Keenan did not last long and so he moved to Hibernian Edinburgh in Scotland for the 2008/09 season . After 15 league games and his release at the end of the 2008/09 season, he returned to Australia in December 2009 and signed a new contract with South Melbourne FC in the Victorian Premier League in December 2009 . In the meantime he was loaned to Adelaide United and ended his career in Melbourne in 2013.
