Joseph "Joe" Thomson (born January 14, 1997 in Paisley ) is a Scottish football player . The midfielder is under contract with Dunfermline Athletic .

Career

society

Joe Thomson came in 2009 in the Youth Academy of Celtic Glasgow . In this he completed games in the Glasgow Cup and the UEFA Youth League . In the 2014/15 season Thomson was appointed three times to the squad of the club coached by Ronny Deila , but remained there without a commitment. He made his professional debut for Celtic on Matchday 3 of the Scottish Premiership 2015/16 against Dundee United when he came on for Tom Rogić in the 79th minute . In June 2016 Thomson signed a new two-year contract with Celtic . In August 2016 Thomson was loaned out to the Scottish second division club FC Dumbarton for six months . He was then awarded to Queen of the South and Livingston FC . As of December 29, 2017, it was awarded to Queen of the South for six months.

National team

Joe Thomson played in international matches for the junior teams of Scotland from 2008 . He made his debut in the U-15 national team against Belgium in June 2011. The following year Thomson was five times in the U-16s . From 2013 to 2014 he also played nine games in the Scottish U-17 . From 2015 to 2016 he played in the U-19 . In March 2017 he made his U-21 debut against Estonia .
