Joe Davis West, Jr. (born February 1, 1984 ) is an American football and Canadian football player who currently plays for the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League . He was signed to the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2008 . West played college football at the University of Texas at El Paso .

Career

Dallas Cowboys

After he was not elected in the 2008 NFL Draft , the Dallas Cowboys West signed as an undrafted free agent. He was released on June 19.

New Orleans Saints

West was then signed by the New Orleans Saints but released before the season on August 30, 2008. He was hired shortly afterwards in the Saints Practice Squad.

California redwoods

West was selected by the California Redwoods from the United Football League in the 2009 UFL Premiere Season Draft. He signed his contract on August 18, 2009.

Calgary Stampeders

On May 7, 2012, West signed a contract with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League as a free agent.
