Joel Michael Bitonio (* 11. October 1991 in San Pedro , California ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the Guards . He currently plays for the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Bitonio, who also performed well as a track and field athlete and basketball player in high school , attended the University of Nevada, Reno and successfully played college football for their team, the Wolf Pack, between 2009 and 2013 . He ran a total of 51 times, 38 times as a starter , where he held different positions in the offensive line .

NFL

In the 2014 NFL draft , Bitonio was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round as the 35th player. He was able to establish himself immediately and was used as the left starting guard in all games in his rookie season . Although he injured in 2015 only ten, in 2016 could deny even just five games, he received in March 2017 a new five-year contract worth 51.2 million dollars , 23.7 of it guaranteed. He has been spared injuries since then and has consistently performed well, for which he was appointed to the Pro Bowl for the first time in 2018 .
