Joel Germain Balandege Mondo (born August 9, 1988 in Cologne ) is a German basketball player .

career

After his engagement at the former Bundesliga club Cologne 99ers with three short appearances in the BBL season 2008/09, the player moved to the USA. Between 2010 and 2012 he played for the University of South Carolina Salkehatchie (NJCAA) and after his return to Germany at UBC Hannover in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB (2012/13 season). In the 2013/14 season he was part of the Bundesliga squad of MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg , but was only used in the Ludwigsburg reserve team in the 2nd regional league before he moved to the BBC Magdeburg in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA during the season . After the BBC's relegation to ProB, Mondo also played for the team. In the 2015/16 season Mondo was part of the Artland Dragons Quakenbrück squad in the ProB.

In April 2019, Mondo received an appointment to the German "3-on-3" national team, in August 2019 he became German champions in this basketball game in the men's competition class.
