Johan Andersson (born September 16, 1984 in Västerås ) is a former Swedish wheelchair tennis player .

Career

Johan Andersson started in the quadriplegic class .

He participated in the Paralympic Games in 2008 in Beijing part. In doubles he was eliminated in the first round, while in singles he reached the final. There he was defeated by Peter Norfolk 2: 6, 2: 6 and thus won the silver medal.

Johan Andersson was three times in the finals of the Wheelchair Tennis Masters . In the individual he achieved this in 2007 against David Wagner , to whom he was defeated in three sets. In the same year he was with Christer Jansson in the final of the doubles competition, which they lost against Wagner and Nick Taylor in straight sets. The following year, with Bas van Erp as a partner, he managed to win his only title when they defeated Wagner and Taylor in three sets in the doubles final.

In the world rankings he achieved his best placings in singles with third place on November 3, 2008 and in doubles with second place on November 29, 2010. The 2010 season was also his last.
