Johan Kriek (born April 5, 1958 in Pongola ) is a retired South African tennis player who became a US citizen in 1982 . In previous years he had already competed under the US flag.

The highest position he reached as a tennis player on the world rankings was 7. His two greatest successes were victories at the Australian Open in 1981 and 1982. However, he benefited from the fact that many world-class tennis players avoided the long journey. In total, he won 14 singles and 8 doubles titles in his career.

In 2005 he founded the Johannesburg- based non-profit Global Water Foundation , which advocates the provision of clean drinking water in needy regions. Together with his wife Daga Mrozek Kriek, he runs a tennis academy in Charlotte . The couple have a son and a daughter.
