Johann Adam Groß the Younger

Johann Adam Groß the Younger (born September 27, 1728 in Winnenden ; † June 24, 1794 in Dettenhausen ) was a German architect , master builder and town planner in Württemberg .

Life

His father, Johann Adam Groß the Elder, was the son of the mayor and builder Hans Michel Groß (1673–1760). In 1757 he succeeded his father as a state master builder.

As an urban planner, he was involved in the reconstruction after 1765 in Murrhardt , after 1783 in Göppingen , after 1783 in Neuenbürg , after 1784 in Validstein , after 1785 in Liebenzell , after 1787 in Nürtingen , after 1789 in Tübingen and 1791 Weissach near Leonberg.

  • 1758–1760: Ludwigsburg gatehouses
  • 1765–1767: Aalen town church
  • after 1781: conversion of the reformed church into a garrison church on the market square in Ludwigsburg, now the Catholic Church of the Most Holy Trinity

  • 1788: Groß Sachsenheim: floor plan of the furnishing of the Oberbeamtung apartment.
