Johann Adolf von der Recke zu Heessen (baptismal name: Johann Adolf Dietrich Anton) (born January 30, 1710 , † November 17, 1745 ) was the prince-bishop's chamberlain.

Life

Origin and family

Johann Adolf von der Recke zu Heessen was born as the son of Franz Wilhelm von der Recke zu Heessen (1665-1716) and his wife Beatrix Angela von Vittinghoff called Schell zu Schellenburg. He married Adolfina Kerckerinck zu Stapel (1718-1770) on October 21, 1741. The marriage remained childless. With that the male line died out. His sister Anna Elisabeth was married to Franz Arnold von der Recke zu Steinfurt . So the Heessen estate went to this family, who had separated from the von der Recke line in 1648.

Act

On December 13th, 1730 Johann Adolf was sworn up to the knighthood of Münster and was thus a representative in the state parliament . This institution, consisting of the three estates, regulated the tax system in the bishopric of Münster and from 1447 also the feud system . Johann Adolf became the prince-bishop's chamberlain .

Others

His mother acted as his guardian in 1730 and enfeoffed Ferdinand Caspar von Droste zu Erwitte with the fiefdom Hundorf in the office of Östinghausen.
