Johann Anton Tillier (councilor, 1494)
Johann Anton Tillier (I.) (* 1494 , possibly 1500; † 1562 ) was a Swiss officer and politician and came from the Bernese patrician family Tillier .
Tillier became a member of the Bernese Grand Council in 1525, Mayor of Burgdorf in 1536, member of the Small Council in 1536, Landvogt von Avenches in 1536 , Venner zu Mittellöwen in 1540 , Landvogt von Lausanne in 1541, German checkel master in 1552 and builder in 1560. Tillier donated a scholarship for budding theologians at the Bernese Academy. Charles V ennobled him for his services to Austria and the Spanish crown.
He was married to Margaretha Hübschi from 1536, his second marriage to Katharina von Diesbach .
