Johann Burckhardt Mögling

Johann Burckhardt Mögling (born August 23, 1657 in Pforzheim ; † April 20, 1725 in Stuttgart ) was a German doctor, ducal-Württemberg personal physician and member of the academy of scholars " Leopoldina ".

Life

Johann Burckhardt Mögling was the son of the Badisch-Durlach personal physician Johann Wolfgang Mögling, who had studied medicine in Tübingen. Johann Burckhardt Mögling was also a respondent at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen in 1677 . In 1681 he became a city doctor in Pforzheim, 1690 in Marbach, 1693 in Heidenheim and finally in 1694 in Stuttgart. In 1703 he was appointed ducal Leibmedicus in Württemberg.

Johann Burckhardt Mögling had three sons-in-law who were also doctors. These were Georg Burckhard Seeger, Burchard David Mauchert and Georg Friedrich Orth. The daughter Christina Beata Mauchart geb. Mögling died in 1722.

On October 26, 1704, Johannes Burkard Mögling with the academic surname Leonides I was elected a member ( matriculation no. 257 ) of the Leopoldina .
