Johann Christian Mentzel

Johann Christian Mentzel (born January 1, 1661 in Berlin ; † May 17, 1718 ibid) was court physician to Friedrich I (Prussia) and a member of the Leopoldina academy of scholars .

Johann Christian Mentzel studied medicine in Frankfurt an der Oder. Johann Christian Mentzel was then court physician to the King of Prussia and Elector of Brandenburg, after which he became personal physician and councilor.

On March 12, 1691, Johann Christian Mentzel, nicknamed SENECA II, was accepted as a member ( matriculation number 186 ) in the Leopoldina .
