Johann Christoph Christian Rüdiger

Johann Christoph Christian Rüdiger (also Johann Rüdiger ; born May 9, 1751 in Burg (near Magdeburg) , † October 21, 1822 in Halle an der Saale ) was a German camera scientist and linguist .

Life

Rüdiger's origins and early training are unknown. He was enrolled at the University of Halle on October 14, 1768 . He started studying law , but at the same time intensively studied modern languages. After studying, he became a Prussian chamber and valley secretary and assessor at the Salt Office in Halle. In 1777 he completed his habilitation at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Halle, then he taught as a private lecturer in camera sciences. He also taught Spanish and Portuguese.

Rüdiger was at University Hall on May 3, 1791 associate professor of cameralistics, half a year later promoted to full professor appointed . From 1804 he headed the New Economic Society in Halle , an educational association.
