Johann Decker (politician)

Johann Baptist Franz Decker (born January 15, 1822 in Freimersdorf , † June 21, 1873 in Düren ) was a German politician and member of the Reichstag .

Johann Decker attended high school in Cologne and then studied Catholic theology in Munich and Bonn . He worked ten years as a chaplain in Willich and Linnich . He was also pastor in Bechen and the district town of Düren for 14.5 years . He traveled to Bavaria, Austria, Switzerland and Northern Italy.

From 1871 to 1873 Johann Decker was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of the Aachen administrative region 4 (Düren-Jülich). In the Reichstag he belonged to the faction of the Center Party .
