Freimersdorf is a district in the town of Pulheim in the Rhein-Erft district in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia .

The city limits of Pulheim are to the east of Freimersdorf. To the east of this are the places Cologne-Widdersdorf and Cologne-Lövenich, south of Freimersdorf Cologne-Weiden. Königsdorf is located southwest of Freimersdorf.

history

Freimersdorf was first mentioned in 1028 as Vremerstrop . Since the Middle Ages Freimersdorf belonged to the office of Königsdorf in the Electorate of Cologne. In 1794 the place was occupied by French troops. The Mairie Freimersdorf in the canton of Weiden was formed. This was part of the Arrondissement de Cologne in the Département de la Roer . In 1815 Freimersdorf came to the Kingdom of Prussia . It was the mayor's Freimersdorf, which also includes the towns of Brauweiler , Dansweiler , Sinthern, Vogelsang and Cologne Widdersdorf included in the district of Cologne in Cologne Region . In 1927 the mayor's office in Freimersdorf was renamed Amt Freimersdorf, which was changed to Amt Brauweiler a year later. Freimersdorf has been part of the city of Pulheim since January 1, 1975.
