Johann Eberhard Osiander

Johann Eberhard Osiander (born October 31, 1750 in Friolzheim , † February 19, 1800 in Stuttgart ) was a German Lutheran theologian.

Life

The son of pastor Heinrich Osiander (born October 12, 1715 in Sindelfingen; † September 22, 1783 in Großglattbach) had studied theology at the University of Tübingen and in 1770 acquired the academic degree of a master's degree in philosophy. After he had worked as vicar in Eningen unter Achalm in 1774 , he was repetent at the Protestant monastery in Tübingen in 1775 and vicar in Stuttgart in 1779. In 1780 he was promoted to deacon in Göppingen , in 1783 he was a deacon at St. Leonhard in Stuttgart , in 1786 a deacon at the Stuttgart Hospital Church and from 1793 archdeacon at the Stuttgart Collegiate Church .

His son Johann Ernst Osiander also gained importance from his marriage to Friedricke Walz .
