Johann Franz Anton von Raesfeld zu Ostendorf (* after 1676 ; † 1723 in Münster ) was canon in Münster .

Life

Johann Franz Anton von Raesfeld came from the Westphalian noble family von Raesfeld . He was the son of Landdrosten Johann Adolf zu Ostendorf (1656–1713), who had married Wilhelmine Maria Margarete von Westerholt in 1676 . With the receipt of the tonsure on February 28, 1711, Johann Franz was prepared for a spiritual life. In 1720 he came into the possession of a cathedral priest , which Canon Bernhard Wilhelm von Plettenberg had renounced. In Osnabrück he got to a cathedral priest in 1721 through the resignation of Canon Adolf Heinrich Droste zu Vischering . A short time later, on October 26, 1723, he renounced the benefice in favor of his nephew Franz Arnold .
