Johann Friedrich Frisch

Johann Friedrich Frisch (born December 6, 1715 in Erbisdorf , † November 4, 1778 in Leipzig ) was a German Protestant theologian.

Life

Frisch attended the high school Franziskaneum in Meißen and then matriculated on October 20, 1737 at the University of Leipzig . He later moved to the University of Wittenberg , where he obtained the academic degree of Master of Philosophy on October 17, 1743 . In 1745 he returned to the University of Leipzig as a private lecturer and became a catechist at St. Peter's Church .

In 1748 he became a baccalaureate in theology and Saturday preacher in the Thomaskirche . In 1749 he went to Taucha as a substitute for the pastor , where he became a deacon in 1750. From 1762 he was pastor of the Georgskirche in Leipzig. He worked as a priest in Leipzig until the end of his life. In Leipzig he was a member of a reading society founded in 1768.
