Johann Friedrich Heunisch

Johann Friedrich Heunisch (born July 27, 1661 in Zeilitzheim , † 1725 in Schweinfurt ) was a German Lutheran theologian.

Heunisch, a son of pastor Georg David Heunisch, studied Protestant theology at the universities of Leipzig and Jena from 1678 . Since 1685 professor at the Schweinfurt grammar school , in 1688 he was promoted to vice rector. In 1691 he became sub-deacon at St. John's Church in Schweinfurt and was promoted to deacon in 1699 and to archdeacon in 1709 . In 1715 he became a senior pastor ( superintendent ) and school inspector in Schweinfurt.

In addition to funeral sermons, Heunisch also published some university papers and re-edited some of the works of his uncle Caspar Heunisch after his death.
