Johann Friedrich Jacob Reichenbach
Johann Friedrich Jacob Reichenbach (born January 24, 1760 in Großmonra ; † October 17, 1839 in Zöbigker ) was a Thuringian - Saxon , German classical philologist and pedagogue .
Life
Reichenbach was born in Großmorna in 1760. He received his school education in Donndorf and from 1776 at the Thomasschule in Leipzig , from 1783 he studied at the University of Leipzig . In 1790 he became Quintus, in 1796 Tertius and from 1800 to 1832 he was deputy principal at the Leipzig Thomas School. He died near Leipzig in 1839.
His son is the zoologist and botanist Heinrich Gottlieb Ludwig Reichenbach . Another son was the daguerreotypist Friedrich Wilhelm Reichenbach. He stayed in Hamburg in 1842 and 1843.
