Johann Friedrich Steffenhagen and son
Johann Friedrich Steffenhagen and son also JF Steffenhagen and son (Latvian JF Stefenhāgens un dēls) was a printing company in Mitau in Courland . After Christian Liedtke's death in 1766, the Mitauer Hofdruckerei was founded by his widow Maria Liedtke nee. Hordel (in) and passed on to Johann Friedrich Steffenhagen after her marriage in 1769 , who further developed the printing company into a respected family business that existed until 1921. The company "Jelgavas Tipogrāfija", now located in Jelgava, sees itself in the tradition of the print shop built in 1769 and documents this on its homepage.

- Johann Friedrich Steffenhagen (1744-1812) came from Rügen , was a barber and surgeon, in Mitau from 1762, ducal printer from 1769, 1796-1812 typographer for the Government of Courland, founded the company "JF Steffenhagen and Son" in 1801 after he had left Johann Martin Peters, his sister's son, had adopted.
- Johann Martin Peters-Steffenhagen (1766–1838) came from Rügen, completed an apprenticeship as a printer in 1781–1784, worked in Greifswald, Leipzig and Berlin, and from 1792 in Mitau. Co-owner since 1801, sole owner since 1812. Member of the Kurland Society for Literature and Art .
- Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Peters-Steffenhagen (1803–1873), son of the predecessor. 1812–1820 Illustrious high school in Mitau, 1821–1824 stud. oec. in Dorpat, typography training in Hamburg. Employed by the father since 1829, owner of the company since 1839. Member of the Courland Society for Literature and Art since 1829 ; since 1850 curator of the Courland Provincial Museum.
- Gustav Peters-Steffenhagen (1848–1875), son of the predecessor. Owner of the company 1873–1875.
- Heinrich Schack-Steffenhagen (1859–1945), son of a sister of the predecessor. Owner of the company 1880–1921.
