Authors

In the first few years the authors were mainly German pastors.

In Volume 15 of the magazine it says

“It is visible that the most honorable men of Courland offered their hand to give the people a literary aid for their spiritual development, as comprehensively as possible. In addition to original songs and arrangements of German poems, we also find very instructive prosaic essays, such as B. an outline of the history of Russia from the foundation of the empire to the death of Emperor Alexander I .. Representations from the history of Courland, some chapters from astronomy and physical geography etc. The names of the authors vouch for the solidity of the work. Among them we meet men like R. Schulz , Pauffler , Kallmeyer, Elverfeld, Mylich, Katterfeld, Richter, von der Launitz, Düllo, Runtzler, Wagner, and later Hesselberg , Raison , Kawall and many others. "
