Johann Friedrich Wolfgang , also Jan Fryderyk or Lithuanian Johanas Fridrichas Volfgangas , (* 1775 in Łozowe Podolien , today Ukraine ; † May 17, 1859 in Połuknia near Wilna ), was a Polish-Russian botanist . Its official botanical author's abbreviation is “ Wolfg. "

Wolfgang worked as a professor in Vilnius.

Honors

In 1823 he was elected a member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina .
