Johann Georg Achbauer the Elder
Johann Georg Achbauer the Elder (also: Aichbauer, Aychbauer, Aichpam, Aichpaur, Euchbaur ; Czech: Jan Jiří Achbauer st .; * Im Landl ; † March 16, 1683 in Prague ) was a builder from Upper Austria who worked in Bohemia .
biography
Johann Georg Achbauer came from a family of builders from Landl in Upper Austria. In 1657 he acquired citizenship of the Lesser Town in Prague as a journeyman mason . Since 1656 he was married to the widow Martha Miller. After her death, he married Anna Maria Lang from Leitmeritz . After Achbauer's death she married the master builder Christoph Dientzenhofer . This left his stepson Johann Georg Achbauer the Elder. J. a legacy in his will.
The Liechtenstein family commissioned Johann Georg Achbauer with the renovation of the houses on Obere Platz in Prague. He built the chateau in Nedrahovice for the Lobkowitz family and carried out repairs to the Vysoký Chlumec chateau .
