Johann Georg Seitz
Johann Georg Seitz (born March 14, 1810 in Nuremberg , † April 16, 1870 in Vienna ) was a German-Austrian painter .
Seitz probably studied at the Vienna Academy . The artistic work (mostly oil paintings on canvas) is characterized by its still lifes with flowers or fruit. Some of his works have been exhibited at the academy.
- 1830: a "piece of fruit" in watercolor
- 1842: the flower pieces "Roses" and "Flowers", which he had made in oil paints
In the obituaries for his death he was also referred to as an "excellent landscape painter".
