Johann Hagenauer (politician)

Johann Hagenauer (born June 17, 1909 in Puch near Hallein ; † January 26, 1982 in Tamsweg ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and businessman. From 1968 to 1970 he was a member of the National Council .

After primary school in Anif, Hagenauer attended the citizens' school and then completed a commercial school in Salzburg , as well as a commercial training. Professionally, he worked as a commercial clerk and as an active soldier in the armed forces. He acted as head of the employment office in Zell am See and worked between 1946 and 1968 as commercial director and head of the Lungau business association in Tamsweg . Furthermore, Hagenauer was co-owner of the building materials works Ramingstein and from 1962 the company Hagenauer & Co. Hagenauer was awarded the professional title of commercial councilor .

Politically, Hagenauer was active as mayor of Tamsweg from 1949 , and from 1959 he was also chairman of the Lungau-Radstädter Tauernpaß tourist area association. He represented the ÖVP between October 11, 1968 and March 31, 1970 in the National Council.
