Johann Heinrich Justus Vollmöller (born July 20, 1781 in Offenbach am Main , † November 19, 1854 in Ilsfeld ) was a German prince educator , pastor and member of the Serach poet circle .

Life

From 1800 he studied Protestant theology at the Ludoviciana in Gießen and at the Tübingen monastery . Here he acquired extensive language skills: French, Italian, Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Persian, Arabic and Turkish. From 1808 to 1810 he was the prince educator of Prince Friedrich August Karl , later Prince of Hohenlohe-Öhringen, son of Friedrich Ludwig zu Hohenlohe-Ingelfingen in Weikersheim . From 1811 to 1821 he worked as a pastor in Unterheimbach near Bretzfeld . From 1821 he was pastor in Onstmettingen near Ebingen , the parish of Philipp Matthäus Hahn .

As a connoisseur of Persian and Arabic, he also gave language lessons, translated books and writings from the ancient and oriental languages ​​and maintained contact with Count Alexander Christian Friedrich von Württemberg and the Serach poet circle . He retired in Ilsfeld.
