Johann Heinrich Plattner

Johann Heinrich Plattner (born August 13, 1795 in Liestal , † October 18, 1862 in Olten ) was a Swiss politician .

Life

Plattner completed a commercial apprenticeship and was a spinning mill owner in Niederschönthal . From 1857 he was the owner of a cloth shop in Olten. On November 29, 1830, Plattner led the 2nd Bubendörfer Assembly, at which the rural citizens of Basel demanded equality of rights.

In 1831 Plattner was a member of the provisional government of Basel , in 1832, 1838 and 1850 he was a member of the Constitutional Council . In 1832 he was in the district administrator , in 1833 he was partition commissioner , from 1834 to 1844 he was a member of the government (finances) and in 1840 he was a delegate to the parliament . From 1849 to 1851 Plattner sat in the National Council , where he was on the left. In Baselland, however, he belonged to the government-compliant group that was later called the party of order.
