Johann Heinrich Schröder (born August 25, 1779 in Lübeck ; † June 25, 1848 there ) was a merchant and councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

Schröder was the eldest of the Lübeck skipper drivers and was elected councilor in 1826. He worked in the finance department and in the guardianship authority. From 1827 to 1842 Schröder was Lübeck's mill owner. He was president of the poor institution and member of the central poor commission. From 1839 to 1844 he was president of the bet and from 1840 to 1848 president of fire insurance and the fire extinguishing institute .
