Johann Hermann Stindt

Johann Hermann Stindt (born September 12, 1763 in Niederhemer ; † July 12, 1846 ) was one of the most important mill builders in the Sauerland and paper form manufacturers.

Among other things, he built the old Sundwiger Mill in 1816 , the Ebberg Church in Hemer in 1819/1820 and worked on the construction of Heppings Mill . According to his plans, a semi-detached house was built on Schleddenhofer Weg in Iserlohn in 1819 , in which families of leading mining specialists lived. The house was later acquired by the Iserlohn entrepreneur Franz Maste, dismantled at this point and rebuilt in Iserlohn at Fritz-Kühn-Platz . In 1999 the Iserlohn Museum of Crafts and Postal History was housed in the listed building.

Stindt standing Moravians close and was a member of the Church Council of the Evangelical church Hemer.
