Johann Hescheler

Johann Hescheler (baptized January 25, 1638 in Bern ; † 1689 there ) was a Swiss carver .

Johann Hescheler (also Höscheler) stayed in Basel 1675–1678 and after 1680 again in his native city of Bern, where he carved the Bernese mayor's throne in the “Burgerstube” in 1681/1682. Around 1685 he was involved in the mausoleum for the general and mayor Sigismund von Erlach (1614–1699) in the castle church of Spiez .
