Johann Hofbauer (aphorist)

Johann Hofbauer (born March 8, 1962 in Passau ) is a German aphorist .

Life

He studied biology , chemistry and educational science at the University of Regensburg with the completion of the first state examination for teaching at grammar schools. He writes poetry and prose and in 1997 became a member of the authors' association “Passauer Literaturkreis”.

Hofbauer has been working on a poetic, theoretical diary since 2001, which, in an aphoristic manner, is devoted to fundamental questions of perception, consciousness and matter. A first part of the recordings appeared in 2006 under the title Questions on Perception , followed by another book in 2015 under the title Perception .

In 2011 he took part in the reading “New German Aphorisms” moderated by Alexander Eilers in Passau together with Walter Rupp, Klaus D. Koch and Hans-Horst Skupy. In 2010 and 2014 he was successful in the aphorism competition of the German Aphorism Archive.

Hofbauer lives in Passau.
