Johann Jacob Büchting

Johann Jacob Büchting , modernized Johann Jakob Büchting , (* 9. March 1729 in Wernigerode , † 15. March 1799 in Harzgerode ) was a German surveyor, mine surveyors and Forstmann.

Büchting attended the Lyceum in Wernigerode until 1745 and then devoted himself to forestry and hunting. In 1752 he went to the University of Halle to study physics and mathematics . In 1755 Büchting became a surveyor and surveyor in Bernburg, Anhalt . In 1764 he was appointed forest commissioner in Harzgerode. In the following year he became an assessor of the local princely mine.

Büchting wrote at least eight independent writings.
