In his fiction work, Dusch tried his hand at comic didactic poems (e.g. The Sciences ), but was not very successful here. In his comical epic poems (e.g. The Lap Dog ) he leans too much on Alexander Pope and was already considered an imitator by his contemporaries. In return, Dusch caused a sensation with his moral letters and even achieved a small artistic breakthrough.
