Johann Jakob Wittig

Johann Jakob Wittig (also Johannes Jacob Wittig , born May 30, 1634 in Erfurt ; † May 17, 1663 ibid) was a German physician who worked as an assessor at the universities in Basel and Erfurt.

Life

Johann Jakob Wittig studied medicine with Eckard Leichner (1612–1690) at the University of Erfurt and with Johannes Antonides van der Linden at the University of Leiden . He initially worked as an assessor at the medical faculty in Basel. He later moved to the University of Erfurt.

On July 29, 1662, Johann Jakob Wittig was registered under the registration number. 24 as a member of the Academia Naturae Curiosorum , today's German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina .
