Johann Joachim Kosegarten

Johann Joachim Kosegarten (born June 14, 1751 in Grevesmühlen , † October 13, 1825 ) was a German pastor and author .

Life

Johann Joachim Adam Kosegarten was the eldest son of Bernhard Christian Kosegarten (1722-1803) and his wife Johanna Sophie Buttstädt († 1762). In October 1789 he was appointed pastor at St. Nicolai in Altengamme . In May 1791 Kosegarten married Anna Paulina Amsinck (1757-1818), a sister of the Hamburg mayor Wilhelm Amsinck . He wrote numerous homiletic writings.

One of his sons was Wilhelm Kosegarten , political scientist, economist and professor in Graz .
