Johann Karl Pistorius , from 1812 by Pistorius , (born May 20, 1771 in Göppingen , Duchy of Württemberg ; † January 22, 1847 in Stuttgart , Kingdom of Württemberg ) was a Württemberg governor .

Johann Karl Pistorius was the son of the Oberamtmann Johann Christoph Gottlieb Pistorius (1732–1806) and Susanne Jakobine Friederike geb. Neuffer (1739-1810). He had seven siblings, including the court advisor and member of the state parliament, Ferdinand von Pistorius .

Life and work

Pistorius studied philosophy and law at the Hohen Karlsschule in Stuttgart from 1785 to 1790 . He then worked for three years as a law firm advocate. From 1793 to 1796 he was an auditor with the Swabian District Dragon Regiment Württemberg. He then worked as a senior clerk for his father, who was also a senior clerk, without a salary. In 1803 he took up his first senior official position at the Murrhardt Monastery Office until its dissolution in 1806, where he was both monastery and forest administrator. The other positions as senior bailiff were: 1807 to 1809 Oberamt Heidenheim , 1809 to 1810 Oberamt Ochsenhausen , 1810 to 1812 Oberamt Wiblingen , 1812 to 1813 Oberamt Leonberg , 1813 to 1837 Oberamt Esslingen . There he retired in 1837.

Honors, ennobling

Johann Karl von Pistorius was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Württemberg Civil Merit Order in 1812, which was associated with the personal title of nobility ( ennoblement ). In 1834 he received the commentary cross of the Order of the Württemberg Crown .
