Johann Lorenz Holderrieder

Johann Laurentius ("Lorenz") Holderrieder (born July 9, 1715 in Weißenfels ; † February 12, 1794 in Naumburg (Saale) ) was a German lawyer , ducal-Saxon-Weißenfels court and consistorial advisor, Lord Mayor of the city of Naumburg (Saale) as well as manor owners.

Life

Holderrieder was the son of the eponymous theologian Johann Lorenz Holderrieder from Weißenfels. He received his doctorate in 1736 at the University of Leipzig on the subject of Dissertatio iuridica inauguralis de principiis interpretati onis legum adaequatis and pursued an administrative career with the government in Weißenfels , where he worked from 1742 to 1746, before moving to the neighboring city of Naumburg, which from then onwards the center of his life.

His legal works include An Ivdaica Infidelitas Post Conversionem Altervtrivs Conivgvm Ad Fidem Christianam In Re Christianorvm Pvblica Sit Ivsta Cavssa Divortii.

In 1752 he was appointed Lord Mayor of the city of Naumburg.

Johann Lorenz Holderrieder married Johanna Elonora (* March 25, 1752), the daughter of the Reinsdorf manor owner Gottfried Schweitzer (* March 12, 1692) from Naumburg . In 1764 he received from his father-in-law together with his brother-in-law Christian Schweitzer his manor in Reinsdorf near Nebra .

He left the sons Lorenz Wilhelm Holderrieder auf Meyhen, merchant and merchant in Naumburg; Gottlieb Heinrich von Holderrieder, who was raised to the nobility, owner of the manor Markröhlitz and Gottfried Jacob Holderrieder (youngest son, died without descendants), owner of the manor Tackau. According to his father's will of May 26, 1794, Lorenz Wilhelm Holderrieder inherited half of the Reinsdorf manor from these brothers as eldest in the form of a majorate. His first wife was Johanna Eloenora née Schweitzer, whom he married on August 16, 1768 in Naumburg. With her he had two daughters. His first wife died on May 14, 1795. He then married the poet Christiana Benedicta, née Hebenstreit , in 1797 . With this he had no children.
