Johann Ludwig Nöthiger (* 1719 ; † January 21, 1782 ) was a Swiss engraver .

Johann Ludwig Nöthiger, son of inspector Niklaus Nöthiger and Salome Bürki, worked in Bern. Among other things, he published a series of mezzotints after paintings by Bernese mayors as well as a series of views of state and stately buildings in the city ​​and republic of Bern . Some portrait sheets of Bernese clergymen such as Johann Heinrich Ringier , Johann Georg Altmann and the painter Tobias Laub are also known .

His first marriage was to Magdalena Freudenberger and his second marriage to Rosina Elisabeth Wyss . From 1761 he was one of the four customs officers in the city of Bern.
