Johann Mützel
Johann Mützel (* 7. October 1647 in Neustadt an der Aisch , † 1. September 1717 in Eisenach ) was a German architect of the Baroque . At times he was the court architect of Saxony-Weimar , where he also created his most famous buildings today, Goethe's house and Ettersburg Castle.

- Kreuzkirche in Eisenach (1693)
- Yellow castle of the Tann castle complex (1699–1714)
- Ettersburg Castle near Weimar (Old Castle 1706–1711; New Castle started in 1717)
- Expansion of Sondershausen Palace into a princely residence from 1680
- Jakobskirche in Weimar (1712)
- Yellow Castle in Weimar (1702–1704; today library on the Green Market)
- Goethe's house in Weimar (1707–1709)
- Wilhelmsthal Castle near Eisenach (expansion to the summer residence of the Dukes of Saxony-Eisenach from 1710)
