Johann Martin Baur (* 1930 ; † January 10, 2007 in Monfalcone ) is a German amateur astronomer and asteroid discoverer.
Between 1987 and 1990 he identified a total of 14 asteroids, six of them together with Kurt Birkle .
In the 1980s he founded the observatory in Chions and thus laid the foundation for the establishment of the Gruppo Italiano Astrometristi in 1989.
The asteroid (11673) Baur was named after him.
