Heinrich Weiser

Johann Matthias Heinrich Weiser (born March 19, 1808 in Ansbach ; † May 8, 1865 in Bad Windsheim ) was a German poet who worked in Weißenburg .

life and work

Heinrich Weiser was born in 1808 as the only child of the Weißenburg doctor Matthias Heinrich Weiser and his wife Maria Margarete, b. Dorner, born in Ansbach. The family lived in the Blue House in Weißenburg . In 1833 he married Carolina Friederike Babette, born in Ansbach. Angel. The daughter Carolina Louise Emma Mathilda Eleonore was born from the marriage.

Weiser published his work in two handwritten volumes of poetry: Bluethen poetic mood and leisure in mixed content from 1837 with 25 poems and the sounds of the mind of a dilettante. Self-selection by the writer from 1842 with 100 poems. In addition, several poems appeared in the Weißenburger Wochenblatt between 1840 and 1860. Some of his poems were published nationwide in 1850 in the German Musenalmanach and posthumously in 1866 in the poetry collection Silent Devotional Hours in pious songs of our day .

Many of his poems were set to music, including by Caspar Joseph Brambach , Vinzenz Lachner and the Ansbach composer Johann Ruprecht Dürrner .
