Johann Michael Keller the Elder

Johann Michael Keller the Elder (* 1687 in Dürrwangen ; † 1735 ) was a German builder .

Works

Keller was the son of master mason Jakob Keller. He moved to Neckarsulm before 1721 and, together with Peter Elias Berthold, rebuilt the Teutonic Order Church in Heilbronn in 1720 . From 1724 he carried out the renovation of Horneck Castle on the Neckar, initially together with his older brother Franz Keller, at the behest of Prince-Bishop of Breslau and Elector of Trier, Franz Ludwig von Pfalz-Neuburg . After the death of Franz Keller, he continued the work according to his plans until 1728. He also carried out the renovation of the order residences in Ellingen and Ellwangen. He was the father of the builder of the same name, Johann Michael Keller the Younger .
