from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Franz Keller (* 1682 in Dürrwangen ; † December 23, 1724 ) was a master builder of the Deutschordensballei Franconia , as was his younger brother Johann Michael Keller the Elder (1687–1735).

Franz Keller worked on the palace buildings in Horneck and Mergentheim (reconstruction plans for the palace). In 1720 he directed both the renovation of the mighty residence in Ellingen with a beautiful facade and that of a residential building on Schlossstrasse in Ellingen, according to his own plans . From 1720 to 1724 Franz Keller worked on the restoration of the castle in Ellwangen (staircase, throne room and dining room). At the same time, according to his plans, the New German House was also built in Regensburg on Aegidienplatz. In 1721 Franz Keller was responsible for the Baroque transformation of the Teutonic Order Minster in Heilbronn .
