Johann Michael Lobstein

Johann Michael Lobstein (born April 1, 1740 in Lampertheim in Alsace , † June 29, 1794 in Strasbourg ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran theologian. His brother was the doctor Johann Friedrich Lobstein .

He was a pastor and professor at the grammar school in Strasbourg. In 1773 he became professor of philosophy and in 1775 of theology at the University of Giessen . After he was first pastor and superintendent in Butzbach from 1777 to 1790 , he returned to Strasbourg in his previous position.
