Johann Peter Carl Luck

Johann Peter Carl Luck (born October 26, 1797 in Hamburg ; † April 5, 1868 there ) was a German businessman and writer .

Life

Johann Peter Carl Luck was the son of Johann Christian Valentin Luck and Anna Sophia, née Claessen. His teachers included CN Röding and GN Bärmann . In 1816 Luck worked in the insurance business. In 1829 he took over a glass business, which he ran with a school friend until 1831. Later he built a warehouse for window and mirror glass .

From 1845 to 1858 he was a member of the administration of the credit fund for heirs and properties. There he was temporarily director and assistant. In 1847 and 1848 Luck worked as a poor carer . From 1859 to 1862 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament.

Luck worked as a writer. He wrote under the pseudonyms Carl Hold, Amandus and Theobald.

Johann Peter Carl Luck married Anna Maria Kahlcke from Elmshorn on June 11, 1832.
